‘Middle Watch’ (2022)

To gain hands-on experience working in an animated production and prepare for the professional world, I completed an internship as 2D Assistant Animator/Clean-Up Artist for Middle Watch during my 2nd Year at university.

Directed by John Stevenson, who is best known for directing the DreamWorks feature Kung Fu Panda, and Aiesha Penwarden. It tells the story of a sailor who must come to terms with the trauma of war and the mysteries of the deep, as he endures another shift on the Middle Watch.

In 2023, the film was a BAFTA nominee for Best Animated Short and since it has been selected to participate in 50 festivals so far.
